SERVICES

Aquatic Therapy

The pool is located at the West Memphis location and allows Fenter Physical Therapy to offer water aerobics classes and aquatic therapy.  The Aquatic Therapy offers an alternative form of rehabilitation and can also be used in conjunction with traditional outpatient therapies.  The pool is especially resourceful for patients that are unable to perform land therapy or exercise.

The pool at Fenter Physical Therapy provides patients with a quicker and less painful rehabilitation. “It also allows us to return patients to a normal lifestyle faster and more efficiently,” says Jerry Fenter.

Aquatic classes are offered Monday through Friday at various times throughout out the day.  Schedules and prices are available upon request.

Post-Surgical Rehab

Rehabilitation programs follow specific post-surgical rehabilitation protocols.  We focus on individualized treatment that prepare the patient for returning to optimal strength, function and mobility.

Our programs involve a variety of treatment options with goals set for the patient to resume every day activities of living as much as possible. Goals are established by a physical therapist and/or an occupational therapist and the patient after a detailed evaluation.

Home Health PT, OT & ST

Our home health therapists provide in home therapy to speed up the recovery process from injury, surgery or illness.  Our therapies include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Home based therapy focuses on helping the client develop independence with daily activities in their own convenient and comfortable setting.  This also allows families to be closely involved in the rehabilitation process.

Work Conditioning/Work Hardening

Work conditioning and work hardening programs are primarily used for manual labor workers.  We focus on helping these patients recover from their injury to efficiently perform their every day job activities once again without restrictions.

Pre-Work Screenings

Our therapists perform designed protocols thoroughly to evaluate workers to ensure that they can perform their job functions properly.

Pediatrics

Needs for children are very special.  We help progress children with developmental learning, developmental delay, gait and mobility issues. We treat a wide range of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions effecting children.  We also provide our services to the West Memphis School District.

Transportational / Industrial Ergonomics

Industrial ergonomics is a proactive way of training workers to reach maximum efficiency in the workplace.  Examples of this would be correct posture while sitting at a desk, or posture for over the road drivers while traveling, loading and unloading freight, etc. Fenter Physical Therapy is a proud partner with ATLAS Ergonomics, one of the largest providers of Ergonomic services in the country.  We provide services with ATLAS throughout the Eastern Arkansas and Metro Memphis Region.

Neuroligical Rehabilitation

The purpose of Neurological Rehabilitation is to aid recovery from a nervous system injury and to minimize and/or compensate for any functional alterations resulting from it.  In the event of a serious injury such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke (CBA) or a severe spinal cord injury, the patient and their family must learn to cope with the situation.  Our therapists help to establish a new way of living both mentally and physically for the patient.

Chronic Pain Disorders

Low back pain, neck pain and arthritis that last for several months or even several years are examples of chronic pain.  Our therapists help manage these disorders by flexibility exercises, posture correction, body mechanic instruction, strengthening, etc.  We help to ensure that the patient's chronic pain is reduced and their quality of life is heightened.

Sports Rehab/Injury Prevention

Having many retired and current athletes on staff, our therapists are passionate about getting athletes back and even better than they were before.  We work wholeheartedly towards the recovery process and to limit the athlete's time off the field.  We not only treat sports injuries, but we also educate our patient to help them better understand how to prevent re-injury.

Orthopedic Rehab

Joint, bone and muscle injuries can be very crucial to everyday lifestyles   Our therapists use strengthening and mobility exercises to help the patient get back to a full lifestyle without being hindered by these injuries.

Ergonomic Training/Consultation

Similar to our Industrial Ergonomic training, our Ergonomic training and consultation treats patients well beyond the industrial field.  Again, patients will be educated about their body to ensure they reach maximum potential in their specific workplace.
